Speaking of Julia Stiles’s, I saw her last in Edmound. And interesting failure of a film. Not bad just didn’t fully work. But she’s becoming one of thost ALMOST actresses. I think she’s realizing slowly that she’s going to have to show’em in order to stay relevant in this buisness.
I also thought of another show I’m up to date on thats a little bit of alright.
Warehouse 13. Its a fun show. Its on the Syfy network. I usually don’t like the cut of their jib but that show is a ball of fun. I like the Bones guy on that show much better then anything else I’ve seen him in, he doesn’t have a stick up his arse like he’s had in everything else.
Also if you ARE watching that show, fuck me on that season finale!!!!
Frank about The Walking Dead. I think the characters are so uninteresting because they are all generic as shit. Like any twist that show has had are pretty lame. Only Norman Reedus is the slightly off kilter character, because he’s not the typical redneck idiot like his brother was. But he’s still not that interesting.
Yep, I totally agree. They’re all very generic characters. I’ve been waiting patiently for the writers to add a few twists to make them a little more interesting, but so far it’s the kind of character writing you can see on any soap opera.
Yeah the odd thing about the show, is that its making me question the comic greatly! I’m like…fuck did I just make it that much better in my head? But now thats its gotten a lot further away from the comic its not messing with me as much.
I gave it a grand total of 2 episodes and gave up.
A show about zombies taking over the world without zombies. Instead we get domestic disputes and whatnot.

Eh its not that dramatic. Its just a lot more fun. Its really fasted paced as well. The whole show is like 2 1/2 hours and it doesn’t feel like a second is wasted. Also its sort of scary in parts. Its just better overall. Also these are 28 Days Later Zombies, not Romeo zombies.

To Xi – I read what you said about the 3rd Army. I could not agree more, because one of my all time personal heroes the criminally underrated Gen. Elwood Quesada -the man whose strategies made the 3rd army so great. Patton deserves credit for being a great administrator and self promoting motivator and a fop if you want o know my own opinion who saw the potential and was smart enough to use it, but it was Quesada that invented the strategy that allowed for the success.

It just doesn’t work. I guess you could compare it to Speed but with a simpliar story. SOOO if you have bad eyesite and neons hurt your eyes then yeah I guess that could be a reason to hate it.

If they’re looking for a new writer to fill the show with kung fu, nudity and bad jokes, they should know I’ prepared to work very cheaply. Diet Pepsi and sandwiches, really.

But Kirkman doesn’t really count since he’s not on the writing staff.
Frank Darabont wrote the first two episodes (the ones I liked the most), everything else was by other people.
Apparently, the idea is to work with freelance writers next year. Not sure how that works, but since the non-Darabont episodes were where the show slid downhill I’m fine with them not coming back for season 2.
Hopefully, the new writers will be able to add some colour to the characters.
From what everyone’s said, I strongly doubt that.
The premise is solid enough. But if they’re going to make the show primarily a character based drama, they really need well written characters or the whole thing becomes boring (which is what’s happened). The problem with the first season is the characters are just too weak to hold anyone’s interest.
My guess is Darabont knows that, which has prompted this move. I’ve never heard of an entire writing staff being given the boot before, so I’m assuming he knows a shake-up is needed.
