Christ, this laptop has over 1000 infected files.

Anyone know where I can download some free antivirus stuff?

    • Jarv says :

Fuck them. They’re spoiling for a fight.

      New computer update.

Jury rigged laptop working quite well. Discovered we get free anti-virus with BT, so have cleaned it. Think I can clean the hard drive on the PC as well.

      I like that guy.

The phrase, “pregnant gang bang,” sends a shiver of horror down my spine.

    How old is your neighbor?

    • M. Blitz says :

Awwww…..well at least he was trying. If I were him, I would hope I had been drunk enough to be blissfully unaware later on of ever having made such an offer…

  3. Jarv says :

    It would happen to me.

I’ve spent all day cleaning the viruses off this laptop and defragmenting it.

    I will win.

  4. M. Blitz says :

Anybody seen these? “Cinemetal” t-shirts! They’re kind of funny…

  5. M. Blitz says :

Red Riding trilogy? Anybody seen it?

  6. Jarv says :

What, you mean when the rest of us did?

  7. Jarv says :

Watched Moon, which was mint. Splinter which was ok, and about to watch something called The Broken. Which will be shit.

Watched quite a lot recently, a woman Mrs. Jarv works with is hooking us up with all sorts of weird things. We’ve got Fears of The Dark and Not Quite Hollywood still to go.

    • M. Blitz says :

Been wanting to see Not Quite Hollywood. It was on youtube for a little while, but got yanked before I could watch it. Doesn’t pay to procrastinate when it comes to the internet!

  8. Jarv says :

    Anyone seen Hatchet?

  9. M. Blitz says :

Damn. I haven’t watched anything of note all week. Just bits and pieces of movies on tv that I’ve seen before (Robocop 2, Red Dawn) and some that I haven’t (Rock Star, Beverly Hills Chihuahua(!)).

Pretty much just been obsessively watching the Australian Open….

  10. M. Blitz says :

Oh yeah, you can add ‘Benny and Joon’ to the list of ridiculous movies I’ve been staring at recently, as well.

    What a week!

  11. Jarv says :

Laptop is about a billion times better now. I may have to download Split Second on it.

Or get the IT nerd to fix the pc, which is much better.

  12. Bartleby says :

    Ok, here it goes:

    Answering all the movie mentions–

    Red Riding trilogy–
I’ve seen the first one and while it’s quite good, it’s also quite dark. I’ll have a review up on Wednesday I think. The next two parts to come. Think Chinatown by way of Zodiac. The segment I saw was 1974.

Hatchet–It’s crap. The follow-up film, Spiral, is a worthwhile little indie thriller but Hatchet is pretty standard and weak.

Not Quite Hollywood–Jarv, I tend to think you will use the film as a checklist for continuing your schlock watching. It’s fun enough, but not as enlightening or as introspective as it could have been. Does shine a light on some truly off-kilter films though.

Fears of the Dark–it’s arty and a horror anthology, but it kind of irritated me. I have no idea what you will think of it.

The Broken–if it’s the Lena Heady film, Im probably too late to save you, but it’s complete tripe. And boring tripe at that. Abort mission Jarv. Abort mission.

    • Jarv says :

      Too late. It’s complete shit.

It suffers from “shit lighting syndrome” that plagues British horror. That and blue fucking filters everywhere. I turned it off in boredom and hatred.

In regards to the “What happened to Joel David Moore in Avatar?” discussion, my mate saw it on the weekend and he said he’s at the end and he’s one of those allowed to stay along with some “bearded scientist guy that looks like Peter Jackson”, who I don’t remember.

    • Jarv says :

I remember him being allowed to stay, but am damned if I can remember fat beardy either.

Mrs. Jarv is sulking about Avatar now. Everyone we know has now seen it and she’s in a minority of one.

      • Droid says :

Yeah, it was a discussion between Jonah, Koutch and me (i think). We all had varying recollections of what happened to him. Koutch didn’t think he ever left the trailer (and therefore a massive plot hole), but I was sure you saw him put on a mask, grab a gun and go back out to fight. I think that’s what Jonah thought too. I just couldn’t remember what happened to him after that.

Maybe Frankie and Mrs Jarv could have a nice big whinge about it over a cup of coffee sometime. Misery loves company. 😉

      • Jarv says :

She was gutted, because she was certain that a few of the women would hate it for being dumb.

        She was wrong.

I’m buying it, at first opportunity- even though she’s making very grumpy noises.

      • Droid says :

Yeah, it’s definitely a bluray purchase for me.

  14. Jarv says :

I can’t think what to write up today. I was going to do Swamp Thing as both underrated and schlock, but the computer with naked Barbeau on it died. I don’t really want to trawl the internets for another one (especially not here) so am in need of ideas.

  15. Jarv says :

Also, I haven’t a clue why the comments thing changed like that. I’d like to change it back, but can’t see how you do it.

  16. Jarv says :

I’m archiving this now, by the way.
