Trio in talks to show their ‘True Grit’

Matt Damon, Josh Brolin and Jeff Bridges are all in talks to star in Joel and Ethan Coens adaptation/remake of Charles Portis’ ‘True Grit’.  Both Brolin and Bridges have memorably starred in previous Coen efforts (Bridges especially).

Admittedly I haven’t seen the original starring John Wayne, but by all accounts it’s very good and this project appears to be another of the Coen’s unecessary remakes, following the abysmal ‘The Ladykillers’.

But the real question is… Can Matt Damon improve upon this performance?

Ladykillers was not good-No country very good…what i want to see is mel Gibson starring a remake of John Wayne’s The War Wagon-NOW that would be sweet!

No. Matt Damon will never better his career defining role in Team America.

The Dude as a cowboy would be intersting to see. Do they have to use special lenses inorder to get Damon’s giant dome and another actor into the same scene?

Bad idea. But decent sounding casting. Waiting for the CGI remake of Red River w/ Will Smith as Tom Dunson. You know it’ll work.
