The Schlock Vault 2009-2010

Oct, 9th, 2009–
Welcome to the Schlock Vault- the final resting place for those cinematic gems that have been inexplicably overlooked.
Most of this material was first published on www.mymavra.com a great website run by Herb West and a good source for all horror/ indie related stuff. Check it out if you have time.
Anyhow, kick back, crack open a beer and let your humble guide take you through the darker recesses of film-making.
Cheers,
Jarv.
Update: The first non-mavra review is Head Cheerleader Dead Cheerleader. Not the best start, admittedly.
February 2010:
I’ve just refitted this (finally) Newest reviews are now at the top, hope this makes sense.
- Fear Island Review

Oh good lord-the Class of 1999. Others have posted about dead-End drive-in, but this list is a hearty repast of schlock. Yum Yum
and Toxic Avenger Uno *is* the best superhero movie ever made-sorry TDK-you have no jock characters named “Bozo”
Totally agree. It’s arguably Troma’s only intelligent movie.
Heath Ledger in clown makeup ain’t got nothing on Melvin in a ballet skirt.
And there’s no silly bat voice.
Jarv ya gotta break down and do the review routine for: Ape, the X From Outer Space and Johnny Sokko. It’ll make you proud to be from the land that didn’t produce ANY of those…
