Django Unchained (2012)

Django Unchained, the 8th movie from Quentin Tarantino, was better than I
expected, but not quite as good as I wanted on a first viewing. As of now, I think Inglorious Bastards (I refuse to learn how to misspell that properly) is possibly QTʼs best movie since Pulp Fiction (though I readily admit I still have never seen Jackie Brown), and I may need another viewing of Django to decide which movie I think is best. Right now its Bastards, though that could change in the future.

Just Pillow Talk’s Birthday Nightmare: The Beach (2000)

Apologies for the late posting of this, but work has been kicking my arse.

Well, the mission to watch the worst list of films imaginable continues. Just Pillow Talk goes on holiday to Thailand in Danny Boyle’s dismal The Beach, a film based on a hugely overrated book by Alex Garland starring a completely miscast Leonardo DiCaprio.

Me, I hate this film, but let’s see how he got on, he seems to have fallen in love though.

Shutter Island Does Not Even Attempt To Thrill or Scare

Going through and reading a little about Shutter Island you may think that this is some prime classic novel that has just been sitting around with some huge fan base gnawing at the bit to see the thing put on the big screen.
